The decorated cylindrical tower of Cesky Krumlov castle dominates the second courtyard with fountain

The cylindrical structure, 54 meters high, was built in the 13th century and decorated in the 16th with Renaissance frescoes representing mythological figures, heraldic coats of arms, and architectural motifs. The upper part features a gallery with arches and balustrades, crowned by an onion dome covered with green tiles. In the foreground, the octagonal fountain with its stone basin occupies the center of the paved courtyard. The surrounding buildings, decorated with sgraffito technique, create an architectural ensemble of great harmony.
