The isolation cells of Block A in Theresienstadt Small Fortress were reserved for prisoners considered most dangerous or subjected to special punishments. These cramped spaces, devoid of natural light and adequate ventilation, housed detainees in inhumane conditions. Isolation could last weeks or months, with reduced food rations and no human contact. Many prisoners did not survive this treatment.
