The bare interior of an isolation cell in Theresienstadt Small Fortress. The bare masonry walls, low ceiling, and absence of windows created a claustrophobic and oppressive environment. Prisoners locked here lost their sense of time and space, subjected to continuous psychological torture. A small opening in the door allowed guards to check on the detainee without ever opening the cell.
