The Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor), Berlin's most iconic monument, photographed on a bright day with tourists passing through its five passages. Built between 1788 and 1791 to a design by Carl Gotthard Langhans, it was inspired by the Propylaea of the Athenian Acropolis. During the city's division, it remained trapped in the no man's land of the Wall, becoming a symbol of separation. Since 1989, it has instead been the symbol of German and European reunification. The long photographic exposure creates the movement effect of the crowd.
