The Furstenzug stands out at night on the outer wall of the Stallhof, illuminated by lights that enhance its porcelain details. This extraordinary mural, 102 meters long, depicts the procession of the 35 margraves, dukes and electors of the Wettin dynasty who ruled Saxony from 1127 to 1904. Originally created with the sgraffito technique in 1876, it was transferred to 23,000 Meissen porcelain tiles between 1904 and 1907 to preserve it from the elements. Miraculously surviving the 1945 bombings, it represents the largest porcelain artwork in the world.
