The Sant’Antonio pier lighthouse at the entrance to Bari’s old port, with the Nazario Sauro seafront and the Province clock tower in the background. The lighthouse occupies the right-hand side of the frame, beside the stone parapet and the boulders protecting the pier. The lighthouse tower has faceted vertical surfaces and a narrow strip of glazing. It rises from a cylindrical base and ends with a green band beneath the lantern, which is surrounded by a metal railing. In the background is the clock tower of the Palazzo della Provincia. Rock breakwaters run along the shore; the nearest one, to the right of the lighthouse, carries a red marker.
