Crete, the largest Greek island between turquoise lagoons and legendary beaches
Photographic collection dedicated to Crete, the largest and southernmost of the Greek islands, land of myths and millennial civilizations. The images document some of the island most spectacular places: Balos lagoon with its turquoise waters and pink sand, reachable only by sea or via a panoramic path; Matala beach, famous for caves carved in rock that in the 1960s hosted a hippy community; the Venetian port of Chania with the fortress illuminated at night; fiery sunsets over the Libyan Sea overlooking the Paximadia islands. The photographs capture the essence of Crete, where wild nature meets ancient history, and where every evening the sky lights up with colors reflected on the crystal-clear waters of the eastern Mediterranean.
