Cesky Krumlov, the medieval pearl of South Bohemia

Czech Republic Cesky Krumlov

Photographic collection dedicated to Cesky Krumlov, a medieval jewel of South Bohemia inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1992. The images document this fairytale town where the Vltava river draws a bend embracing the old town with its red roofs. The photographs show the majestic castle, the second largest in the Czech Republic after Prague, with its iconic decorated cylindrical tower, the multi-level Cloak Bridge with its arches, the inner courtyards with frescoes and sgraffito decorations. The photographic journey crosses the picturesque cobblestone streets lined with colorful Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque houses, to the main square Namesti Svornosti with the plague column and pastel-colored facades.
